CNC Miller Operator

A milling department operator to run and manage (3x) 5-axis multi pallet and (3x) twin pallet horizontal machines. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the experience and knowledge to take ownership of the area.

Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00

Friday: 07:30 - 12:30

Responsibilities

  • Operate multi-pallet CNC Milling machines, producing precision components
  • Loading and organising pallets to achieve efficient unmanned production
  • Read and interpret technical drawings for production
  • Inspection of components produced to ensure specifications are met
  • Obtaining first-off inspections to ensure RFT targets are met
  • Completing route and batch paperwork relating to components

In-depth training will be given.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience using 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Must have a full understanding of technical engineering drawings
  • Experience in producing batch work and one-off components
  • Must have a good understanding of engineering principles
  • Ability to check parts to drawings and alter tool offsets
  • Understanding of cutter conditions is advantageous.Qualified and fully skilled engineer, with a minimum of three years’ experience
