Responsibilities
  • First off, in process and final inspection
  • Sub-contract inspection
  • Visual and mechanical inspection using a wide range of metrology equipment including CMM’s
  • Creation of programs for automated measurement using CMM’s and non-contact scanner.
  • First Article inspection reports
  • Accurately reporting of non-conformance
  • Equipment Calibration
  • Shop Floor Audits

Experience & Knowledge
  • A solid Understanding of engineering drawings, geometric tolerancing & production specifications is required.
  • Experienced CMM programmer of complex machined parts with good understanding of CMM software and the ability to interpret GD&T requirements and produce accurate and repeatable programs, preferably with Aberlink CMM’s.
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately and be able to interpret, verify and cross reference engineering requirements
  • 5 Years’ experience in an inspector role, conversant with precision CNC machined parts, preferably in an aerospace or other regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of SPC, MSA, PPAP and RCCA techniques such as 5Y / 8D would be advantageous.
